IMO, soul is better. More fun and flexible for both PvP and PvE.
Soul and Buddha both have their strengths, but Buddha is the go-to for tanky, melee-focused gameplay. If you like being a juggernaut, go Buddha!
Personally, I think Buddha's better for grinding. It's just so OP for leveling up quickly.
