Anime for sure! Hearing the characters and seeing them in action brings a whole different vibe. Plus, some of the filler arcs and extended scenes add depth to the story and characters.
Honestly, do both if you have the time. Start with the manga to cover ground quickly and switch to the anime for the major battles and emotional moments. Best of both worlds!
Read the manga if you wanna get through the story faster and appreciate the original artwork and pacing. Manga doesn't have fillers and you can feel Oda's original intent in every panel. Watching the anime gives you the added bonus of color, voice acting, and music, which makes some scenes more impactful. The downside? It's longer because of filler episodes. Depends on what you value more: speed and originality, or the immersive experience.
