I'd say Hunter x Hunter is best for teens and older. The series has some darker moments and complex storytelling that younger kids might not get.
Hot take: If they can handle Harry Potter, they can handle Hunter x Hunter. Most of it is pretty tame!
Speaking from experience, my 12-year-old loves Hunter x Hunter and hasn't had any issues with it. Just be prepared to explain some of the more complex plot points!
