One Piece wasn't directly inspired by another anime, but its creator, Eiichiro Oda, was influenced by various elements from different manga and anime. Particularly, Akira Toriyama’s 'Dragon Ball' had a significant impact on Oda. He admired its entertaining and adventurous spirit, which you can totally see reflected in the thrill and humor of One Piece. Oda also took inspiration from the 'Vicky the Viking', a cartoon that sparked his love for pirate adventures!

Actually, it's not just one anime that inspired One Piece. Oda is a huge fan of 'Dragon Ball' and that's pretty obvious in the energy and comedy aspects of One Piece. But remember, One Piece is a unique masterpiece that, while taking cues from other works, stands on its own with its rich world and deep character development.

'Dragon Ball' guys, it's that simple. Oda's been open about how much he respects Toriyama's work.
