What are Hot Wheels toy cars made of?
Hot Wheels cars are primarily made of diecast metal, specifically a zinc alloy known as Zamak. The bodies are diecast, while the interiors and chassis are usually plastic. The wheels are a hard, durable plastic, and some models have rubber tires for that extra grip on track!

They're metal, mate. Mostly diecast with some plastic parts thrown in to keep things interesting.
Actually, it's a mix. The body of the car? Diecast metal. The rest, like the interior, wheels, etc., are typically plastic. Had a few disassembled in my time, and it's pretty consistent across the board.
