Honestly, it's all about the wheels. Look for Hot Wheels with FTE (Faster Than Ever) wheels. Those babies have less friction and can really zip down a track. Plus, they look cool, which is half the fun.

Red Line series from the '60s and '70s. Those are literally the OG racers and have a special place in the racing community for a reason.

Gonna have to go against the grain here and say it's less about the car and more about the driver's passion. I've seen old, beat-up Hot Wheels beat the shiny new ones because the person racing them just knew every inch of their track.
