In the Trainer Challenge mode of Pokemon TCG Online, you can use theme decks that you've purchased from the in-game store or through redeeming codes from physical products. As you progress, you unlock more cards to enhance those decks. It's a mix of starting with what you've got and gradually building a stronger deck as you defeat more trainers!

Just use the basic decks you start with in Trainer Challenge. They're surprisingly effective to get you going. Then, unlock more as you play!
