What Does 'Parallel Set' Mean in Pokemon Cards?
A 'parallel set' in Pokemon cards usually refers to a set of cards that have a similar theme or are directly connected to a main set but have differences in appearance, such as alternate artwork or holo patterns. They give collectors and players more options and a bit of a chase to find all the variants!

It's just another way for them to make us spend more money. Parallel sets have alternate art or holo effects, but at the end of the day, they're the same cards. Cool, but not always necessary unless you're a hardcore collector.
Parallel sets are basically like the cool cousins of the regular set. They're part of the same family but show up wearing shinier clothes and sometimes even show off different poses or scenes. These sets are a collector's dream (or nightmare, depending on how you look at it) because they add depth to your collection and can be a bit rare.
