The star on Pokemon cards, including Energy cards, signifies that the card is of 'Rare' rarity. It's a way for collectors and players to quickly identify the rarity of a card, with the star denoting a higher level of rarity compared to other symbols like circles (Common) and diamonds (Uncommon). So, if you see a star on your Energy card, congrats! You've got yourself a rare find.

Stars don't belong on Energy cards, period. You might have a misprint or a very unique version. Double-check it!

In PTCG, stars on cards mean the card is rare, but on Energy cards? It's a bit of a unicorn because Energy cards typically don't have a rarity symbol since they're, well, just energy. If you've got a star on an Energy card, it's probably a special or promotional version. Very cool and definitely rare!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
