Valheim basically means 'home of the fallen' or 'home of the warriors' in Norse-inspired lingo. Pretty fitting for a game full of Viking adventures!

Valheim is a made-up name inspired by Norse mythology. 'Val' could be a nod to Valhalla, the hall of slain warriors, and 'heim' means home in Old Norse.

As someone who's clocked 500+ hours in Valheim, it feels like home in a mythological sense. 'Val' for warriors, 'heim' for home. Perfect fit!
