Apex Legends was made with the Source engine. Yep, the same one behind classics like Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike. Pretty cool how they've managed to use an older engine to create something as slick and fast-paced as Apex, don't you think?

It's the Source engine. Surprising, I know! But it shows you don't always need the latest tech to make a hit game.

Source engine, no doubt. It's amazing how they stretched its capabilities to fit a modern battle royale.

Everybody saying Source, but honestly, does it matter? The game is awesome regardless of what's under the hood!

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
