At the end of the Demon Slayer movie, Rengoku has an epic battle with the Upper Moon Three demon, Akaza. Sadly, Rengoku dies from his injuries, but he inspires Tanjiro and the others to keep fighting.
Spoiler alert: Rengoku fights valiantly against Akaza but ultimately succumbs to his wounds. It's super emotional and a tearjerker!
In short, Rengoku gets into a fierce battle with Akaza and, despite his incredible strength and determination, he dies.
