The series wraps up with Canute taking control as the new king after Askeladd sacrifices himself. Thorfinn is left grappling with what to do next.

Askeladd's death at the hands of Canute changes the game completely. Thorfinn loses his purpose and gets dragged away by the other Vikings. It's a wild twist!

Thorfinn doesn't get to kill Askeladd鈥擟anute does it instead! Now what, Thorfinn? Guess we'll have to wait and see in the next season.
