Nothing really happened in the story continuity between episodes 24 and 25. It's just that episode 25 is an OVA and not a direct continuation.

They basically hit the reset button. Episode 24 concluded the original anime story, and episode 25 jumps into an OVA with a whole new plot.

Fillers dragged the plot a bit in ep. 24, then ep. 25 kicks off the OVAs. Best to just watch and enjoy the ride!
