Not much happened between S2 and S3, just the usual hype and speculation. If you're impatient, read the manga - it's worth it!

Between seasons 2 and 3 of Dr. Stone, fans had to wait for new episodes while the creators worked on the next part of the story. Season 2, titled Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, ended with Senku and the Kingdom of Science defeating Tsukasa's Empire, setting the stage for new adventures and technological advancements. In Season 3, expect to see Senku and his friends building a ship to explore the world beyond Japan!

I was glued to forums and re-watched both seasons multiple times. The transition was all about prepping for epic explorations and more science shenanigans! Can't wait!

The gap between seasons 2 and 3 of Dr. Stone was mostly filled with anticipation! Stone Wars concluded with a truce and a promise to explore new lands. So, yeah, be ready for some epic voyages!

Basically, it just bridged the end of the Stone Wars arc and the start of the exploration journey. Nothing too crazy!
