Crona ends up betraying Medusa and joins the DWMA, but their fate in the original manga and the anime differ - in the anime, Crona's storyline concludes with them being taken back by Shinigami for rehabilitation.
Crona's journey is one of redemption. Initially a pawn of Medusa, they eventually find a new path with the help of Maka and the DWMA crew.
Crona's arc in the anime is cut short, but they ultimately find some peace by the end. The manga, however, gives them more depth and a more satisfying conclusion.
Crona switches sides, from enemy to ally, and struggles with some pretty deep issues. Bumpy road but worth it!
