Don't get too excited, guys. The 'R' just means it's a reverse holo. Cool to have, but it's not like finding a golden ticket.

The 'R' on a Pokemon card typically indicates that it's a Reverse (or Reverse Holo) card. This means that all of the card except for the actual Pokemon image is holographic. It's a special aesthetic feature that makes the card look super cool! Regular cards don't have this shiny background, so if you've got one, it's a bit more special.

An 'R' on your Pokemon card? It's just a reverse holo. You know, where the shiny part is literally everywhere but the picture of the Pokemon. Looks awesome but doesn't make it ultra-rare or anything.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
