Ace's full name is actually Portgas D. Ace. He started off just going by Ace but later, we find out he's got that 'D.' in his name too, showing he's part of that mysterious 'Will of D.' Plus, he's the adopted brother of Monkey D. Luffy and the biological son of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, which is pretty cool if you ask me.
