I recommend selling duplicate items, low-tier equipment, and surplus materials. Anything you have more than ten of is probably safe to sell.
Don't hesitate to sell old gear, excess materials, and cooking ingredients you rarely use. You'll get plenty of Gald for upgrades!
Honestly, just sell old stuff you don't need anymore. Keep what looks rare or hard to replace.
