PSA stands for Professional Sports Authenticator. When it comes to Pokemon cards, getting them PSA graded means you're sending them off to be evaluated on their condition. The cards get a score from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible condition. High PSA grades can significantly increase a card's value, especially for collectors.

I got my Charizard card PSA graded and it came back a 10 - talk about a happy day! Seriously, if you've got rare cards, getting them PSA graded can make a huge difference in their value.
