From my experience, people are usually willing to trade a couple of ultra-rare pets, or even a low-tier legendary like the Dragon or Unicorn for a Snow Owl.
I traded my Snow Owl for a Golden Penguin and still felt like I got a good deal, so it has decent value!
Tbh, the Snow Owl is not as rare as some think. You can usually get one for a decent ultra-rare pet.
