EX cards were a staple in the Pokemon TCG scene, pulling a lot of weight with their powerful attacks and high HP. But, they had a downside where if your opponent knocked one out, they could take 2 Prize cards instead of one. GX cards, introduced in the Sun & Moon series, upped the ante with not just strong attacks and beefy HP, but also with a unique GX move that could turn the tide of battle. Only, you can use one GX move per game, so strategy is key. Plus, knocking out a GX card also gives your opponent 2 Prize cards.

GX cards totally changed the game with their GX moves, making them way cooler than EX cards, IMHO. EX cards were cool and all, but GXs bring that extra strategic layer to the battlefield.

Honestly, EX cards had their moment, but GX cards with their unique GX moves are where it鈥檚 at. It added so much depth to the game strategy.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
