Actually, it was the Custom Camaro. Dressed in a shiny blue finish, it became the dream of every kid (and let's be honest, adults too) back in '68.

The first Hot Wheels car that zoomed off the production line was the Custom Camaro in 1968. It was part of the original Sweet Sixteen set, which totally set the wheels of cool in motion!

Gonna have to throw this in - it's the Custom Camaro, but let's not forget, it wasn't just about the model. It was the beginning of an era that brought us tracks, loops, and jumps that probably inspired every car game out there.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
