What is the Lost Zone in Pokemon TCG?
Lost Zone? Simply put, it's a card exile. Once your Pokemon or any card goes there, forget about it for the rest of the game. No coming back, no hellos. It’s a neat twist for strategies, especially with cards that mess with the opponent by banishing their key cards to the Lost Zone.

The Lost Zone is like the Bermuda Triangle of Pokemon TCG, where cards go and never return. It's an area outside the playfield that isn't the discard pile. Cards sent here are considered out of play for the rest of the game, meaning you can't retrieve them with any card effects. It adds an extra layer of strategy, as some cards have abilities that interact with the Lost Zone, either getting stronger the more cards there are in it or allowing you to send your opponent's cards there.
Think of the Lost Zone as Pokemon TCG's version of a supermax prison for cards. Once they're in, they ain't coming out. Adds a real stake to the game, especially when you're playing cards that can banish your opponent's favorites into the void.
