Believe it or not, the title for the most expensive common Pokemon card often surprises people. It's not about the flashy, rare cards but rather the Pikachu Illustrator card. Though not 'common' in the traditional sense, it's a card that was more accessible than ultra-rare ones but fetches an insane price due to its unique history and limited release.

Pikachu Illustrator ain't really a 'common' card by regular standards, but in terms of unique cards that were more widely available than the super rare stuff, it tops the charts. Hands down, it's an anomaly in the Pokemon card world!

Honestly, there's no common Pokemon card that's super expensive. High card values usually belong to the rare or ultra-rare categories. So, if you're looking for pricey, you're probably not going to find it in the common section.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
