I found the Rarest item is actually the Saddle, but no one talks about it because it doesn't exist. Haha, just kidding! Go look for the Sea Crown instead.

The rarest item in Subnautica is most likely the Sea Crown Seed. This little guy hides in only a few spots, like the Lost River or the Primary Containment Facility. Good luck finding it!
