Just to clear things up, true melee means you gotta hit the monsters with the actual weapon. No shooting stars, fireballs, or laser beams that come out when you swing. If the sword doesn't touch them, it's not true melee.

True melee in Terraria refers to attacking enemies directly with a melee weapon, like swords or spears, without using the weapon's projectiles or special effects. It's all about getting up close and personal, rather than hitting baddies from afar with magic, bullets, or the weapon's own ranged abilities.

As someone who's completed a true melee playthrough, it's intense but rewarding. You really learn the attack patterns of enemies since you have to be close. Plus, it feels super satisfying to land those hits.

Nah, true melee is overrated. Why get in the face of a giant eye or skeleton when you can blast them from a safe distance?

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
