What nationality are the One Piece characters?
So, technically, One Piece characters don't have official nationalities because they live in a fictional world. But, the creator, Eiichiro Oda, did have a bit of fun by imagining where each of the Straw Hat Pirates would be from if they were real. For example, Luffy would be from Brazil, Zoro from Japan, Nami from Sweden, Usopp from Africa, Sanji from France, Chopper from Canada, Robin from Russia, Franky from America, and Brook from Austria. It's all hypothetical but adds a cool layer of personality to each character!

They don't really have nationalities. It's a fictional universe with its own countries and seas. Though Oda gave them 'real-world' nationalities as a fun thought exercise, it's not canon.
Oda never set official nationalities, but he did imagine where they'd be from in our world as a fun side note. Doesn't affect the story though.
