Gonna throw in a quick two cents here: sometimes, it's not just about rarity, but condition matters a TON. A near-mint 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Charizard and a played one live in completely different tax brackets.

The holy grail of Pokemon TCG has to be the 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Charizard. That card is the epitome of rare and can fetch a pretty penny, we鈥檙e talking thousands of dollars! Another big hitter is the Pikachu Illustrator card, given only to winners of a 1998 art contest in Japan. Super rare, super pricey.

Don't forget about the Black Star Ishihara Signed GX Promo card. It was given to Pokemon Company employees and has Tsunekazu Ishihara's signature. Rarity + autograph = cha-ching!

Honestly, most people won't find these ultra-rare cards in their attic. Your best bet? Keep an eye out for any first editions or shadowless cards - those can still bring in some decent cash.

Lol, unless you got a time machine, good luck getting your hands on any of these top-tier cards for cheap.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
