For beginners, I'd say start with a Starter Deck. They're designed for new players and include everything you need to play right out of the box, like a ready-to-play deck and instructions. After you get the hang of things, try getting a couple of Booster Packs to start building your own deck!

Just grab some Theme Decks, seriously. They are balanced and give you a taste of different strategies. Plus, you won't be overwhelmed by too many complex card combinations. Perfect for learning the basics and having fun!

Booster Packs. Unpopular opinion, but hear me out. Yes, they're random, but pulling a rare card is such a thrill! Plus, it's a quick way to expand your collection and find what kind of cards you like.

Honestly, go to your local game store and ask for a Trainer Kit. These come with two half-decks designed to be played against each other. It's a super hands-on way to learn and understand the game mechanics with a friend or family member.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
