2004, that's when the anime first aired in the U.S.! But don't forget the manga; it was here in 2003. Both have been ruling hearts since.

One Piece officially made its way to the shores of America in 2004. That's when the anime debuted on TV, bringing Luffy's adventures to a whole new audience! Before that, the manga had already been introduced by Viz Media in the English-language Shonen Jump magazine, sparking the beginning of the One Piece craze stateside.

Anime first aired in 2004 in the US. But was it really popular from the start? That's debatable. Took a while for it to really catch on here.

It actually landed in the U.S. way before the anime series hit the small screen. The manga was first published in English by Viz Media in their Shonen Jump magazine in 2003, a year before the anime made its debut in 2004. So, the adventures of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates began captivating American readers and viewers in the early 2000s!
