The Jujutsu Kaisen movie, titled 'Jujutsu Kaisen 0,' is actually a prequel to the main series. It takes place one year before the events of the anime and follows Yuta Okkotsu, a character not initially introduced in the first season of the anime. So, if you're trying to figure out where it fits in the timeline, it's best to watch it before diving into Season 1 of the anime for a smooth storyline flow.

Gotta disagree with watching it first. The Jujutsu Kaisen movie should be watched after Season 1, in my opinion. It introduces concepts and power levels that make way more sense after you've seen the series. Plus, you get to avoid any potential spoilers!

Timeline-wise, 'Jujutsu Kaisen 0' is a prequel, but honestly, watch it after Season 1. Trust me, it hits different when you already know the hype of the Jujutsu world.
