Water. It's all about the water. Plants take it, split it, and boom—oxygen!

The oxygen in photosynthesis comes from the water (H2O) molecules. Chlorophyll splits the water into hydrogen and oxygen, releasing the oxygen as a by-product.

Oxygen in photosynthesis comes from water. Plants break it down and give us fresh air—genius, right?

Plants actually split water molecules during photosynthesis. That’s where the oxygen we breathe comes from!
