CJ, or Carl Johnson, the beloved protagonist from GTA: San Andreas, doesn't make a direct appearance in GTA 5. However, eagle-eyed fans will spot a small Easter egg during a mission where Franklin, Lamar, and Trevor are planning to kidnap a Ballas member. In the background, you can see characters resembling CJ, Big Smoke, and Sweet riding bikes, in a clear nod to the iconic mission 'Wrong Side of the Tracks' from San Andreas. So, he's there in spirit if not in person!

CJ isn鈥檛 actually in GTA 5 as a character you can meet or interact with. The game throws a cool nod to him and some characters from San Andreas during a mission, but that's about it. They kept the universes separate, so no CJ running around Los Santos this time.

Honestly, CJ's not in GTA 5. People thought they saw him, but it's just a tribute, not the real deal. They're just messing with us, teasing us with nostalgia.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
