Bream in Stardew Valley are night fish, so you gotta cast your line in rivers and towns from 6 PM to 2 AM game time. Make sure it's not winter though; those fishy friends don't like the cold!

You're looking for bream, huh? Just hit up any river in Pelican Town or Cindersap Forest, but only after the sun goes down. They love the dark. Caught heaps of them that way myself.
