You can find NPCs scattered around the gym areas and training zones. Keep an eye out near the larger training equipment!
Just start lifting near the big training equipment and you'll bump into 'em eventually. Simple as that!
NPCs usually hang around the main gym area, especially near the leaderboards and the entrance to various arenas. Happy training!
