Gotta say, everyone always talks about the Pink Beach Bomb, but don't sleep on the Over Chrome Mustangs from the '70s. They were promotional and made in super limited quantities. Like, finding one is like striking gold!

The absolute unicorns in the world of Hot Wheels Red Editions have to be the 1969 Pink Beach Bomb and the 1995 Collector Number 271 Funny Car. The Pink Beach Bomb is notorious for its rear-loading surfboards and less than 50 prototypes made, making it a holy grail among collectors. Meanwhile, the Collector Number 271 Funny Car is super rare due to its limited production run – whispered to be only 12 in existence!

Honestly, rarity is subjective. But, if you ask me, anything 'pre-1972' can be considered as rare because Hot Wheels was just starting out. So, early Redlines in mint condition? Those are rare treasures.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
