GTA, or Grand Theft Auto, was originally created by a company called DMA Design, which is now known as Rockstar North. They're part of the larger Rockstar Games family that publishes the series. So, if you're ever in a pub quiz and this comes up, DMA Design is your golden ticket.

DMA Design, no question. That's the crew that kicked it all off before they transformed into Rockstar North. Rockstar Games, their parent company, handles the publishing. Keeping it in the family, you know?

Actually, it's a bit of a trick question. While DMA Design (now Rockstar North) developed the original game, the mastermind behind the concept and expansion of the GTA universe is Rockstar Games. They took GTA from a top-down game to the massive 3D world we know and love today.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
