Try running Fortnite as an administrator. Right-click the Fortnite icon and select 'Run as administrator.' This fixed the issue for me!
Are you logging out properly? Sometimes, forcefully closing the game can make it not save your settings.
Make sure your cloud save settings are enabled in the Epic Games Launcher. It might be syncing issues causing the problem.
It's probably just a glitch. Restart your game or reinstall it. Worked for me!
