Why are some Pokemon cards shiny?

They're just for show, honestly. Shiny cards don't really offer any gameplay advantage over the standard ones, but they sure look pretty. It's all about the bling and the bragging rights when you whip out a shiny Charizard in a battle.

Shiny Pokemon cards are rare because they're intentionally made less common by the creators. It鈥檚 a way to introduce rarity and variety into the game, making the process of collecting cards more exciting and rewarding. Pulling a shiny card from a pack feels like striking gold!

Shiny Pokemon cards are like the cherry on top of a sundae. They're special versions of Pokemon that have a different color scheme than their regular counterparts, and in the TCG, these cards often have a holographic or shiny finish to make them stand out. Collectors love 'em because they're rarer and flashier, making them super covetable. Plus, who doesn't like a bit of sparkle in their deck?

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
