It could also be a massive player surge overwhelming the servers. Whenever there's a new release or a big in-game event, everyone jumps in to play, which can cause server issues.

GTA servers might be down due to routine maintenance or updates that Rockstar Games is implementing to improve the game. Sometimes, they need to take the servers offline to patch things up or add new content. Hang tight, they're usually pretty quick about it!

It's definitely aliens.

Downtime? More like prime time to speculate on forums about the next big update. But seriously, it's probably maintenance or a sudden bug they found.

Server overload during peak hours! Everyone tries to hop on at the same time, especially after school or work hours, and the servers just can't handle the heat.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
