Filler episodes are a way for the studio to give the manga time to progress. Plus, they sometimes add side stories and background info.

Making sure the anime didn't catch up with the manga. Nobody likes a show with no source material!

Because they needed to let the manga get ahead. More manga, less filler - that's the dream!

The fillers help develop side characters and explore the world deeper. Also, it keeps the interest alive between major arcs.

Honestly, it's probably just to stretch the series for more episodes (and ad revenue). Still love Naruto tho!

If you're a Naruto Shippuden fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
