Sometimes if you can't hit Longma, it might be a server lag issue. Try rejoining or switching servers.
I had the same problem! Turns out I wasn't using the right abilities. Make sure you have the right fruit or weapon equipped.
Dude, just make sure Longma has actually spawned. If he's not there, you can't hit him!
