Epic Games removed account merging in May 2019 because it was causing technical issues and complications with player accounts. They decided it was better to focus on other improvements.

Account merging in Fortnite got the boot in 2019 due to all the headaches it was causing. Too many bugs, not enough fun!

Because keeping track of all those accounts felt like herding cats. Seriously, Epic Games wanted to minimize issues and streamline player experiences.

I had trouble merging my accounts too. Epic Games had too many problems with it, so they removed it to improve system stability.
