The devs removed parties in MeepCity because they were being exploited for inappropriate content. They're working on making the game safer for everyone!
Tbh, parties in MeepCity got out of hand with inappropriate stuff. Removing them was a necessary move to keep the game fun and safe.
I heard from a friend that the parties got removed because too many peeps were using them for not-so-cool stuff. Better safe than sorry!
