Check if your fire is exposed to the elements. Rain can extinguish your fire quickly, so build a shelter or roof over it.

Are you building your fire inside? Ensure there's a chimney or an opening for smoke to escape, otherwise, the fire will suffocate.

I had the same problem until I realized I was putting my fire too close to water. Keep it on solid, dry ground!

Make sure you have enough fuel! Fires need wood to keep burning, and if you don't add logs regularly, it'll go out.
