First, check your game's settings! Go to the Video options and make sure Fullscreen is selected instead of Windowed. Sometimes it just resets for no good reason.

Honestly, it's probably just a minor bug. Switching to Fullscreen in-game should fix it most of the time.

Had the same issue. Try updating your GPU drivers, then restart the game. Fixed it for me!

Just set the launch options in Uplay or Steam to -fullscreen. Problem solved.
