Undertale struggles on fullscreen mainly because it's an indie game developed by a small team, and the original code wasn't optimized for fullscreen mode. Sometimes, resizing pixel art games can cause display issues and performance drops.

Hot take: Playing Undertale in windowed mode is the superior experience anyways! You get to multitask and enjoy your other apps simultaneously.

Fullscreen problems in Undertale are often due to your system's graphics settings. Try updating your drivers or changing the compatibility mode to see if that helps.

I had the same issue! Lowering the resolution in the game settings fixed the fullscreen struggle for me. Give that a shot!
