Are you using a headset? Some headsets have mute switches that might be turned on without you realizing it.
Make sure your game audio settings are configured correctly. Sometimes the 'Mute' option is accidentally toggled on!
Hot take: maybe you should try playing without the need for audio capture. Sometimes, simpler is better!
I've had this issue before. Reinstalling the game worked for me. It's a pain, but it resolved the audio capture problem entirely.
