Edge might be taking a break or pursuing other projects, and the game devs just didn't include him in this year's roster. It's not unusual for some superstars to miss a yearly release.

Sometimes licensing issues arise, or the wrestler's contract with WWE might not align with the game's development timeline. Edge could be a victim of that.
